MEMBER OF COUNCIL: Wendy Fowles I was surprised and delighted to be nominated as Member of Council for District 10, so I would l like to thank everyone for voting for me. I was born and brought up in North Wales, in a Welsh speaking community, and my father was a Rotarian and Mother a founder President of her Inner Wheel Club. My mother who was English soon sent me off to boarding school to improve my English. After leaving school I trained as a Home Economist, and worked in London where I met my husband, and my son and daughter were born. We moved to Stroud in 1980, where we have spent the last 39 years, 20 of which I spent teaching in Cheltenham and Cirencester. I retired in 2005 and now my time is spent between Inner Wheel, caring for my 2 grand children, walking and a variety of exercise and fitness c lasses, in an effort to keep fit! I have been a member of Inner Wheel for 12 years, and during this time I have been Club Secretary, Club President , District Secretary and a member of the District Membership Committee, and for the past 2 years have been a member of The Association Membership Committee. I now look forward to the challenge of representing District 10 as Member of Council, and to pass on all the information to the District and the Clubs. If you do need my help or support please contact me and I will be do my best to represent you.
