Inner Wheel Club of Stroud ‘Day Bus Pass Day Out’ Wednesday 21st August the day that members and friends of Stroud Inner Wheel embarked on a tour of the Cotswolds using their bus passes!!! The first members embarked the bus from Stroud to Cheltenham at 9.40 and were joined by more members boarding at Pitchcombe and Painswick. On arriving at Cheltenham a short stroll to Huffkins Coffee Shop for coffee and cakes. The next bus left Cheltenham for travelling via Andoversford to Bourton on the Water, arriving in time for Lunch. The venue for lunch was just opposite the bust stop a very good fish and chip shop, with outside seating. Once lunch was finished there was ample time to walk round, eat an ice cream and look in the shops, before the bus arrived for the 10 minute journey to Stow-on-the-Wold. Once again there was plenty of time to browse in some of the shops and particularly those unique to Stow. The next stop took us a short 10 minute journey to Moreton-in-Marsh for a cream tea at the Cotswold Tea Rom and Coffee House where they made us very welcome as the last customers of the day. Once tea was finished it was back on the bus to Cheltenham, and surprisingly there was time for a glass of wine at Cafe Rouge before the last bus of the day to Stroud. Once in Stroud the group found their way to the Imperial Hotel to meet friends and husbands for a meal. A very fitting end to a marvellous day out.
